How to use Instagram Reels for your Interior Business

Instagram Reels are everywhere at the moment and they are definitely something I would recommend getting involved with! I have seen the power of these for my clients so I wanted to share some guidance with you all too! 

I have gotten lots of questions recently from Businesses not knowing how to start their Reels Journey. Read on for why you should use them and a list of ideas to help you create your very own Instagram reels content!

 

Instagram Reels

Reels is the new way to create entertaining, quick (15 or 30 seconds) video content on your Instagram feed. The ever rising trend of short video content started through Snapchat, with Instagram then creating the stories feature. Now with the popularity of short video content on Tik Tok Instagram has brought out Instagram Reels. 

With the recent announcement from Instagram that they will be launching Ads for Creators we can see that Video content is going nowhere so Reels are an excellent way to create some quick and easy Video content!

Why you should use Instagram reels

Any new features added to Instagram are worth using and building them into your content plan as soon as possible. The objective of social media is to showcase content to make your business visible! This way you can build a following and audience that you can then attract to buy your product or service. 

 

We all know Instagram is busy and competitive and that it now only shows your content to a small percentage of your followers. However when a new feature comes out on Instagram they really want you to know about it. Instagram now prioritises Reels content over other content such as still photos or even IGTV. You’ll notice lots of Reels coming up in your feed, as well as the new Reels explore feed now being front and centre, encouraging you to scroll through that content first.

 

For a better chance of getting your Interior Business visible, make content that is already a front runner in the Instagram algorithm!

Try searching #interiordesign on Tik Tok where you’ll find endless interiors videos for inspiration of what works. Take a look at what is popular and trending in the hashtag to help develop some ideas.
